Applying for an opportunity with the BCER is easy and only takes few steps.


Step 1: Submit Your Application


To look for the opportunities available within the BCER, you can:

  2. Subscribe to our Facebook page.
  3. Subscribe to our LinkedIn.

When applying for an opportunity, your resume and cover letter are the key factors in assessing your application. Please ensure that your resume and cover letter clearly highlights how you meet the qualification and requirements outlined in the job posting.

To apply on our website, follow these steps:
  1. Select Current Opportunities.
  2. Select See Job to apply for the opportunity you are interested in.
  3. Fill in the required fields.
  4. Upload your Resume and Cover Letter, including your first and last name in the filename.
  5. Select Apply Now after you have completed the form.
  6. Upon submission, you will receive an automated notification email confirming that your application was received.

Step 2: Recruitment Process


Screening:

We compare your education and experience noted in your resume and cover letter, to the position requirements.
Please note: If you are not selected in the screening process, you will not receive further correspondence.


Assignment:

Some competitions include written assignments prior to/during the interview.


Interview:

If you are shortlisted for the position you have applied for, we will contact you via email or phone to schedule an in-person or virtual interview. During the interview, we will inform you of the next steps and when you can expect a decision.


Reference Checks:

You will be asked to provide us at least two references. Always check with your references beforehand so they are aware they may be contacted. References should attest to your work either as a supervisor, mentor, or team lead.


Step 3: Offer


If you are the successful candidate, you will receive an offer of employment with the BCER. The offer will include offer letter, Code of Conduct, Financial Assets Disclosure, and other supporting documentation. You will be asked to sign and return all the documents within a specific timeframe.
